Rivers

To many people water is life. And as we grow older one of the most popular statements about water we hear is "still waters run deep". Rivers are a clear illustration of this statement.
Large masses of water have interesting effects on different people. For me its natures way of reminding me that we each run a course set out for us. The course is not always the easiest but it makes life all the more interesting. This is my expression of the river

Everything is A okay

The early manageable learning experiences

The beginning with little hardships learning to brave
the storms of life

Nothing to smile about

Turmoil and hardships through the rapids
but its getting better

Peace and rest  just after the storm
After all is said and done

Song bird

The inspiration behind this post was a song. The song is not only a hit in Kenya but in East Africa as well.
Part of being an artiste, is not just about being able to sing but looking good while doing it. One such artiste that has managed to do so is Avril. Not only does she have the vocal talent and ability many would envy. She has the looks to go with it and is a performer and entertainer.
Look out for her new single Kitu Kimoja

Zikis

The power of music is immense and many a times it has a real relaxing effect to many. A wise man once said that music soothes the savage beast.
Well I am no different. Not that I am the savage beast... but that music always gets me to a place of peace and tranquillity or as most would say a place of Zen. There's nothing as soothing as some good jazz music. I took some pictures of a great artiste and friend with whom I have interacted with professionally and is one of the greatest talents emerging in east Africa. His versatility and creativity on the sax are at a different level. He is Don Ben Mac-Odinge
